  • Verify the Trezor device packaging and holographic seal (if applicable).
  • Never share or type your recovery seed; write it down and store it offline.

Quick start steps

  1. Connect your Trezor device via the supplied cable to your computer.
  2. Open your browser and navigate to the official Trezor web app or use the desktop app — make sure the URL or app source is official.
  3. Follow on-screen prompts to unlock the device using the PIN you previously set.
  4. If this is your first time, choose Initialize on device, record your recovery seed offline, and complete the setup flow.

Troubleshooting

  • If the device isn't recognized, try a different USB cable or port and ensure device firmware is up to date.
  • If you see unexpected prompts on the device screen, disconnect and re-check authenticity.
  • Keep your recovery seed offline; if compromised, move assets to a new wallet immediately.
